Focal Point of Existence
Moked HaKiyum. The heart, the anchor, and the focal point of our existence.
This is not a product. It is a work of art, and only one exists. An original painting by Israeli artist Orly Ditelzweig, acrylic on canvas, with authentic soil from the Temple Mount mixed into the colors themselves. The ground that held the Temple is in the paint: in the rough squares of ancient stone at the base, deep blues edged in gold and textured enough to feel under your fingers, and in the illuminated golden dome rising from them against a midnight sky. Signed by the artist. One of one.
The work joins earth to spirit. The soil gives physical texture to the stones and the blue structures, and out of that ground the golden dome ascends in light. In the artist's words, this is not merely the documentation of a landscape. It is a representation of the heart, the anchor, and the focal point of our existence.
"Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined." (Psalm 50:2)
Orly Ditelzweig is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Tel Aviv. She paints and sculpts straight from the heart and gut, endlessly exploring materials, textures, and forms. Her work is born from raw emotion and the meeting of classic and surprising materials, and many of her pieces are made in deep connection to a single client's vision and dream.
In 1999, construction on the Temple Mount displaced soil holding three thousand years of history. The Temple Mount Sifting Project recovered it, and a substantial percentage of every purchase funds the Project's ongoing research. No future excavation will ever take place there. Once this soil is gone, it is gone forever.
The painting arrives with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the co-directors of the Temple Mount Sifting Project, and with the Temple Mount Soil Classic Gift Set: a numbered vial of the same authenticated soil, to place beside the painting. The ground in the colors and the ground in the vial are one.
This is the original, not a print. One canvas, one custodian.
