A sculpted cylindrical stand that invites a closer look at a piece of living history. Through the central window, a transparent capsule holds original soil from the Temple Mount excavations, suspended in midair in a floating, breathtaking display. The visual illusion gives the soil a presence at once powerful and intimate.
The base of the stand carries the words of the prophet Isaiah:
"For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations." (Isaiah 56:7)
Those words turn the piece from museum design into a symbolic and moving work of peace, hope and memory.
In 1999, construction on the Temple Mount displaced soil holding three thousand years of history. The Temple Mount Sifting Project recovered it, and a substantial percentage of every purchase funds the Project's ongoing research. No future excavation will ever take place there. Once this soil is gone, it is gone forever.
Designed by Adi Sidler, a graduate of Jerusalem's Bezalel Academy, internationally renowned for contemporary ritual objects marked by clean aesthetics and pristine finishing.

Crafted in aluminum, stainless steel and perspex. The stand measures 1.4 inches in diameter and 5.3 inches tall (35 x 135 mm) and weighs 2.4 ounces. Available in four brushed finishes: gold, silver, grey, and black.
